Kinda wound up with a loose watercolor thing going on, and I’m okay with that.  The hatch shading takes longer than I’d intended to spend on these, but also tends to be pretty satisfying and not all that frustrating.  Cathartic?  I don’t know.

Will probably do a few more of these before demanding feedback or anything.  Odds are that the comic itself will wind up leaning comedy overall, but the opening couple pages are gonna be fairly straight-faced.  Sorry if that bothers you for whatever reason.

Kinda messing around with a messy watercolor-sketch look sort of thing, I guess.  I wanted a bit of a loose aesthetic for this, and this seems to be working out okay so far.

Will probably tidy this up a bit later, but I need to head to be for the night. The goal of the project is to see what I can do improvising and going through the pages fairly loose, working on my speed a bit but also doing the sort of things that rather intimidate me for the time being (ie. lots of backgrounds) and practicing them in a low-pressure format.

More on this as I settle on it, but it is something I want to do.  This much took about an hour or so.
